Already I'm doing better. I ran several times during the week and this evening after work I ran just over 2 miles. No racing heart, no panting.
The best thing I did was forced myself to slow down a little. I'll work on building up a few miles/endurance first and then I'll work on getting faster.
Tomorrow I'll hit the local running store for a better fitting pair of shoes. They've got some kind of machine that I step on and they analyze my foot and step and get me the right shoes.
As for the tourney - Go Vols!
