I had the same thing as you are describing.
For me it started after a longer run which including many hills.
I believe it is an imbalance, and was really really really TIGHT.
I stretched, iced, took IB and continued to run (although not PUSHING too hard)
It took close to a month, but I am finally feeling better. Hang in there and keep stretching!!!
