Running a Marathon

I've run a marathon before-about 3 years ago. I've decided I want to do one again. I haven't been running at all, but I'm in decent shape. My first 2 mile run this week I ran in 16:36. How many miles a week can I begin running? Most marathon training guides say you should have a base of 25 miles a week before beginning training. What is a safe mileage to begin running? Should I start with 15 miles a week, less or more? Is it ok to go up by more than 10% rule at first? I don't want it to take 10 weeks to get up to 25 miles in a week if I don't have to. Thanks-
