Generally very solid advice - Other factors - You age, yu general activity level before starting training (Couch Potatoe vs someone doing 4-5 hours of "Other Aerobic" activity.
I think people that have lived a generally non-active life style for many years - 1 year may not be enough.
Oh - Your body can be trained to run it in well under a year - but the harder you push it the risk of injury dramatically increases.
