Hot and humid may have described Saturday, but Sunday morning was anything but. Lots of us laughed at the e-mail warning sent the prior day, cautioning about heat and humidity. I don't think the temperature got north of 50 anytime during the run.
For the future, don't worry about the heat. Just be prepared to adjust. On any given race day, the weather could be horrendous, outstanding or anything in between. Unless you have some personal time objective (e.g., qualifying for Boston), use the opportunties as they come to learn about yourself.
