Selecting a target time?

hi, I'm a reasonably experienced runner and I'm planning on running my first marathon next spring. I've got a good base now (can handle 25-30m/wk with ease) and am just coming off a rugby season so I'm in good all-around shape. I'm looking to qualify for Boston eventually so I'm looking to hit mid 3hr range on a flat, fast course. I'm running 6-7mi now at about low 7:00s without much trouble but every training guide I've seen would have my fastest miles at just around 7:30/mi. Call me the ambitious 20-year-old but that seems slow to me. Should I up my marathon goals or would my body break down over 16-18wks putting in work like that?
