I've been giving this a lot of thought...I'm due with my 2nd child in May. Our local training program starts up in July to train for a marathon that takes place in mid-January. Do you think it's realistic to try to start training again so quickly?

My 1st child was born in November, so I had quite awhile to ramp up the mileage before July. I do think it was tough getting back into the swing of things, but I've run 5 marathons since and gotten a bit faster.

However, I ran a marathon a month before I got pregnant with my 1st and ran until my 5th month with that pregnancy. This time, due to some lower back issues, I had cut back quite a bit on the mileage right before I found out I was pregnant. I've only been running about 3 miles at a time for the past few months.
