If time, travel are not an issue. Shamrock Marathon in Virginia Beach. This is on St.Patricks Day weekend. The course is very fast and flat. Well supported and decent spectatator support. It is in March and is on the waterfront, but everyone I know who goes there does very well regardless. With the amount of times I recommend it I should get a commission....lol, just kidding. I have sent many newbees there, as I was sent there long ago. Good luck, train well and maybe I'll see you there in 08'..........I'm doing the half they have there.
