Calf Injury

I am running the ING NYC Marathon on Nov. 4 (my first). I was out for my 4 mile tempo run during lunch time and all of a sudden my left calf is on fire and starts to hurt like bloody hell. Needless to say, I could not run on it after that. I managed to make it back to my office (I run during lunch time). I am hoping it's not too serious and I will be able to start up again in a few days. It is too close to Nov. 4th for me have a serious injury. I am feeling slightly demoralized right now since 2 days ago I ran the Marathon Tune Up race (18 miles) in Central Park and in finished in 2 hours 55 minutes (9:43/mile). I guess the best thing for me to do is to rest it for a few days and then see how it feels. This is my first injury of any kind since I started training.

Any advice and/or words of encouragement are much appreciated. Ari
