I just completed my first marathon yesterday. Around the 16th mile, the area directly behind my left knee began pulling and tightening up. I managed to run through it and finish the race, but throughout the night and this morning I have had trouble bending my leg at all or walking without intense pain. What can I do to help alleviate this pain besides taking ibuprofen? I tried a cold bath, but the pain is still there. Thanks for any suggestions!
