A website for novice marathoners

I just posted something about nutrition, but wanted to take this opportunity to let people know that I am trying out an idea to help novices training for long distance running to stay inspired and have access to important information while at the same time having other novices to work out with. It is called Marathon Newcomers of Houston (well, I am from Houston) and is a Yahoo Group. I have many links to sites like this one there and my trainer has said what I am doing is a valuable service to those trying on this challenge for the first time. My only problem: How do I find members who are novices or even slightly experienced (I have one member who has run one marathon and one half marathon). Could you give me some feedback on how I can make a breakthrough in members and develop this site into a truly useful tool for novices. I do have a long term plan of setting up similar Yahoo Group sites in other cities around the world. I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. You can find the site at: http://marathonnewcomersofhouston.com. Thanks, Robert
