This is all too common, but luckily there are ways to prevent this from happening again. You can buy "Body Glide" from most sports type stores. It looks like a deodorant stick, and it works great! You use it on areas that are more prone to chaf, rub together etc. You can also use vaseline on affected areas. I use it on my feet before long runs, and it really helps prevent blisters.
