It seems like you did follow a fairly good training program and you were smart to follow Dr. and PT orders to recover from your injury. Now, with proper taper you should be just fine. I did my first marathon with a 10 minute run and 1 minute or more as needed walk and I finished it just fine. Just be careful not to go out and do any unneeded training this late in the ball game.

Start slow, keep focused, don't try to keep up with the Joneses and you should do terrific.
