Yes, my son ran with me. We have one of those relationships where I am his father and yet his best friend at the same time .... and vise versa. I was at a gathering one time with some rather prominent?? local people and the men were talking about problems with their teenage sons. After listening in surprise at what I was hearing, I noted to the group that my son and I had never passed harsh words with each other. ~ After I said this, one of the attorneys who seemed to be talking the most about problems with his son responded to me with "One of you must have been supressing something" with a sarcastic tone. ~ To which I replied "No, no supression at all. All respect and no control patterns. Sounds to me like your problem with your son is that you're a control freak." Needless to say, the guy reacted in his control freak fashion.
