How great that you were there with your son, did he run as well? I didn't really feel tightness in my legs, but actual soreness and the feeling that they were starting the process of tiring out. Not something you want to feel at mile 9! I think that the Georgia run most likely hindered my performance a little rather than helped it. I'm still glad I went to Atlanta and ran though, it was a fun race and my sister and I ran more than half of it together. Also, the last two times I ran Boston I was within a few months of having c-sections and just went and hoped for the best. I attribute doing much better this year to that alone. The conditions were near perfect for me, I totally agree with you.
