IT Band Problems in Boston

Hi all!

So I was training for the Philly marathon last November when I began to have hip pain. Two doctors, 2 cortisone shots, 6 weeks of PT, and four months later, I'm still not better and I'm completely miserable having not run for the last 6 weeks. Can anyone recommend anything novel, especially in the Boston area? My physical therapist says that there's not much more that she can do and the doctors are stumped as to why it's taking this long to get any improvement.

I have been biking 3x a week to try and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle but otherwise do nothing to put any strain on my hip.

PLEASE, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Elisabeth
