Hi
I have a pain under in the ball of my foot just under big toe. It hurts when I walk, especially when pushing off. 4 days ago I completed my last long run (23 miles) and am now in a 3 week taper for a marathon. I do have high arches and wear orthotics. I also noticed that my calf was tight when I started the run.
The pain only came on the day following the long run. I assumed a days rest would help (with icing and NSAID, but alas the pain is still with me.
I have a appointment with physio tomorrow. So I am hoping they can help. Has anyone had expeirence of this type of pain (and possibly sesamoiditis) if so how long did you need to rest for? Any other advice gratefully received!
