Thank you so much for your answers. I don't know the exact procedures of the surgery. The incision is a straight line as you describe. But I haven't had my follow-up appointment with the doctor yet. The surgery was August 24. I can barely wait for my appointment. The region is still swollen but I assume it's healing well. But I cannot run at all. I can't give long strides when I walk either. Other than that I've been doing everything except running and walking with very long strides. I am already accepting the sad fact that I won't be able to run Chicago. I might finish but I don't want that. I want to run a quality marathon, what I was training for. I want to run with strong chances of a PR, not just a sub-four. I don't mean to offend anyone, I hope you understand what I mean. :(
