thanks everyone for all the advice and recommendations, i think i agree that sometimes the sugar or caffiene buzz is not worth the side effects, although this is my first marathon i've been a distance runner on my own for a while, and never used them before, maybe i should stick with what works for me. i appreciate all the advice! caveman, to answer your question- i am running the portland marathon, october 1st! do you have one coming up?
