skip the caffeine: you said your stomach is sensitive
the idea behind caffeine is that caffeine stimulates fat metabolism and thus may be glycogen-sparing
on your first marathon, focus on enjoying and completing; any edge from caffeine in a gel is negligible (my opinion) but the effects on the tummy may be significant enought to ruin your race
