GPS treatment for Plantar Fasciaitis

I have been dealing with left foot Plantar Fasciaitis for almost a year. It comes and goes in severity / intensity, but is present every day. I have slow down and cut back, but to no avail. I have tried everything known to man, from bi-weekly Physical Therapy , to NSAIDS, to steroids, to stretches, yoga, massages, etc.

It now hurts all the time. I should add that I have stopped running for 2 to 3 weeks at a time several times, but always return. It is just getting worse and worse.

My orthopedist has recommended GPS (Gravity Platelet Suspension) therapy, where they inject your own platelets into the plantar fascia. Seems to be successful (in medical journals.) Any runner out there with experience in this, or have any thoughts? thanks Patrick in Mississippi
