Don't know much about married couples and streaks, I haven't seen any in my research yet.
An odd thing about the VCM, of the pretenders, most did not finish on an 80 degree day when they were taking runners away in stretchers. All but 1 of the "legacy runners" finished, two of the in over 6 hours. They know that they can finish even if it means walking. And I saw a lot of them come across the line and they did not look too bad. Basically, they knew what to do to keep their bodies functioning and kept moving forward until the race was over. I find them astounding!
