I am a 42 yo male who used to use a hrm but stopped after awhile. When I first started running again about 2-3 yrs ago I remember seeing 200+ running up a hill moderately.......that's why I stopped using it. I found that SLOWING WAY DOWN and consistent training dropped hr a BUNCH (as expected). Now it still gets high training but plunges below 100 by th time I'm back in th car after workouts.....just my .02.
