I think that the belly fat issue has to do more with the apple vs pear shaped people. Those of us who are apples tend to have excess fat around the gut area, and that has been shown to be a risk factor.
What you have is completely different (and, by the way, my wife has the same thing). It is just excess skin that annoys her. It is not the type of fat thta they are talking about w/r to heart disease risk.
And, btw, she is considering plastic surgery to get rid of it. It doesn't bother me but she really doesn't like it.
