It's been 16 months since my second child was born and I resumed running. Somedays are definitely harder than others, but I am training to complete my first marathon so on days when my motivation is low, I just think of my goal. I think my situation is a little easier though because after my son was born I decided to quit my corporate job and work from home/consult on a very part time basis so I don't really feel too guilty leaving my little ones behind for a run sometimes. A lot of my running has been solo too, but investing in a jogging stroller helped me to be a little more encouraged to run on days when my husband wasn't available and I had no one to run with. I also gained a ton of weight with my son (63 lbs.) so weight loss became another motivator for me when all else was discouraging....
