Hello, Lately, I've been taking a medium rare, 1/2 lb. leg of lamb on my long runs. I find that during the mid miles of a long run, the lamb does the trick. Mint jelly is an option, but can be messy unless you can get it in a goo-packet dispenser. Make sure that you eat the meat right before a water stop, so you can wash it down. Most importantly, do not accidently eat or swallow the bone while running. The result would be obvious. Good luck, and let us know how it works out for you.
