Dear Race Directors, Over the years, I have run over 60 marathons, numerous 5Ks and 10Ks and a couple of half marathons. In about 50% of these races, I have found that, in spite of requesting a SMALL t-shirt, they are "out" when I get there to pick up my packet, even within the first few hours of packet pickup. This is clearly due to NOT ordering enough SMALL's. The kindly volunteers offer me a Medium, or a Large and mention I can use it as a sleep shirt.
Guess what -- I SLEEP NAKED and I don't need any more sleep shirts. Instead of ordering just a few SMALLs, why not order just a few LARGEs -- and offer those folks the SMALLs for their kids? Not having the correct shirt sizes for the number of entrants is unforgivable for races (such as Disney) which are sold out months prior to the event.
