As a Canadian and a finisher in the Marine Corps Marathon in 2002 I am shocked at the group ,of Canadian runners who took a short cut. This is Not the way to play the game in Canada. There is no reason for any charity group to take a short cut except that they have no guts to finish what they started. To me it cheapens it for all they folks who donated money for the charity. As far as I am concerned they should be banned from ever running in events anywhere.Who cares if you run a 2,05 or a 6,05 as long as you finish what you started?I am ashamed that some of my fellow countrymen should stoop so low as to cheat. As for bussing to beat the cut off time the answer is a big no,start what you finish and be part of the few and proud who finish what they started.
