Not all charity runners get fees, etc. paid

I can speak for the American Liver Foundation, which fields a team of 240 runners in the Boston Marathon -- none of the personal expenses for the race come out of our donations -- that includes the race fee, accommodations, travel, etc. The runners pay for all that themselves. We raised $1.1 million to help combat liver disease in last year's race. And none of us cheated.
