I really have to admit it...

Although I am a TTES alumn, Bambi does have a point. Before I even began training for Kona, I lost 85 pounds and when I was out there, I couldn't get over how many people on the course looked kind of like I did before I lost the weight. I would never even think of trying a marathon, even walking it, in that condition. Despite the weight loss and the training, it was still a tough time for me so I have to respect anyone who trained and honestly finished the event. I really can't be critical of anybody who finished, especially if they finished before I did. I just hope the experience makes them want to keep going and get in better condition, as it did with me. If I had to do it over again, however, I would have taken a few years to get to the point where I could run the marathon, working my way up from 5ks and if I do another one, that's the way I'd do it.
