I can tell you a few things I would LOVE for someone to do for me during training that would make me feel great: 1. find out when and where she will be doing her long runs and meet her during the run with water, gatorade, or whatever she likes. You cannot imagine how much this will mean.

2. Find out about when the long runs will be over and meet her for breakfast. Even better surprise her. Ask her about the run, how did she feel, did she see anything cool, etc. When you are doing 15 mile + training runs something neat will happen everytime.

3. Find something related to the marathon that she will running in (shirt, keychain, whatever) and give it to her as a motivator. Look on ebay, you'll be amazed. I got a keychain that I looked at everyday before Chicago that helped me get out the door and do the training.

4. The weekend of the marathon find out what she wants to do and do it. It's her special weekend.....

Honestly the first 2 things would be the best period. Having someone bring me something during my runs would mean more than anything. Thats a true friend for ya.

Andrew
