I helped start a club in my local area....the fellow that actually started the club began by getting results from some local races and calling the people that were from the immediate area to see if they were interested in the club. We eventually had over 50 members, unfortunatly neither one of us had the time to keep a newsletter going which I personally think is the main form of communication for a group. It doesn't have to be much but it should include a set weekly run. Which I believe was also our downfall, come to find out most runners run when they can find the time so it's hard to find a time that suits everyone to run. Pick a day, time, and place and stick with it for a least one day a week. Good luck
