before all the hurricane debris (mostly piles of tree limbs) is removed, unfortunately. Meanwhile, many parts of my running routes have become interesting steeplechase-like courses.
The eye of the hurricane actually passed within 5 miles of my house, the closest ever since I've been in FL (8 yrs). We didn't have as much damage as some older neighborhoods with big trees around us but our power was cut nonetheless. On the up side, my husband and I had many good candlelight dinners and conversations :-)
