as well as 20 others for a big Support Our Troops running campaign I’ve organized called 21 Run Salute (click here to view my press release on this site dated 8/4/04). I started my 50 states quest in June 2003 after running my third marathon and meeting someone in Alaska who was in the 50&DC Marathon Group. It just seemed like a fun thing to do since I love running marathons and traveling around the country doing so. My goal is to run all 50 states and DC before my 50th birthday (I’m 42 now). I’ve run marathons in 11 states so far: AK, AL, FL, GA, HI, MA, NC, NY, OH, OR, TX. BTW, I ran Camp Lejeune this year back in February and just wrote a detailed race review for the 50&DC Group (for some reason, I can’t post reviews on this site, keep getting an error). Drop me a note if you’re interested and I’ll email it to you. I thought it was a great small race and I ran well there.
