I have run the Wichita Marathon twice and have been a volunteer for several years. This is the 25th running and the course is great!! About 1/3 in the suburban town, Derby. Approximately 1/3 on McConnell Air Force Base with the half running under the wings of a Tanker. Then into Wichita for a new finish this year in Old Towne. I'm told the runners may be shown on the giant video marquee at the Warren Theatre! This is a great, small, very flat marathon. Unless the new finish changes the last few miles, I'll be just before mile 24, probably dancing to YMCA, to cheer you on!!! Looking forward to seeing you!
