Glad you got the unit back. Hopefully this one will be trouble free.

I am about 7 weeks out from Fox cities, so I am still building mileage. Since I am wanting to run a full in December, I am pushing my mileage up to prepare for that. I ran 18 miles on Saturday, and my legs are a bit on the dead side. I ran ten tonight, and I could still feel the effects of the Saturday run. I plan on peaking at about 50 miles next week before tapering off a bit on overall mileage and focusing a bit more on intervals and lactate threshold runs. I am a bit jelous of your tapering phase, that does sound nice! Mine will be here sooner than I realize. I do love that feeling. I feel like a race horse (which I'm not) that has been caged up to long and is rearing to go! The real danger is in going out too fast at the beginning of the race.

When you are pushing up your mileage, how do you regulate your nutrition? I have recently come to realize that I have not been eating enough ( I was bonking at about 13 miles and lacked energy). I have increased my caloric intake significantly and that has helped, but I don't want to overdo and gain weight either (I am no longer a young buck).
