I also ran Richmond in 2000. Conditions were perfect, 30's and not much wind, nor were there did it seem very crowded. I was able to PR by 5 minutes. If you need crowd support, this is not the race for you. Not many spectators at all. One great thing is they allowed registration all the way up until the morning of the race. I had not planned on running it, but did not run that well at Marine Corps because of the heat. Richmond worked out perfectly for me.
