Beth, thanks for the compliment. Part of my problem, in general, is that I'm always concerned w/how my decisions affect other people. Sometimes I sacrifice my wants to ease someone else's situation. I'm beginning to "outgrow" that since coming into a supervisory position three years ago. As for my co-worker, I just feel obligated to the guy. Afterall, I would have NEVER considered going the distance had he not talked me into it. Now, it doesn't seem right to move ahead of him.
In the limited polling I've done on this running issue, everyone have given me the same response w/slight variations. So, today I finally told my running partner what my intentions were by running a 1/2 on the 25th to gauge where I might be for the Motorola. He argued a bit about needing reserves for the end and blah, blah, blah...He finally threw up his hands and said, " Ok, ok. Go all out in the MOTO and I'll just have to trail behind you!" hahaha! Sometimes I think he has control issues! Hahaha! What does it really matter how I choose to run this race? Strange.
Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it. Abby.
