If you already know the following just assume it's for the 10 other people listing in so to speak. No natural fibers other than silk,they are good for long johns in the winter, and wool, they make a good itchless one now, the applications of wool are more for hiking (boot socks etc.) but say a wool hat in the dead of winter would be good, but I wear a skiers keltie. Other than that only manmade fibers, coolmax etc. Use plenty of thin layers when its cold or rainy. Even with gore tex I over heat and am wet anyway so I find I'm better off running wet but warm. Hope this helps.
