Hi Kelly!

I too ran, lifted weights and did other forms of cardio when I started training for my first marathon last year. Here's a list of websites I've found useful in addition to a couple of books in Zeke's list.

http://www.runnersworld.com/ - Tips and training programs for running all distances, 5K – marathons+; also has a section for women runners

http://www.halhigdon.com - Tips and training programs for running all distances, 5K – marathons+; has special programs for novice marathon runners

http://jeffgalloway.com/ - Tips and training programs for running all distances, 5K – marathons; describes a popular low mileage run/walk training method

http://www.marathontraining.com/marathon.html - Tips and training programs geared for running a marathon; includes buildup phase before beginning a marathon training schedule

http://www.marathonfirsttimers.com/ - Tips and training programs for marathon first-timers

http://www.runningtimes.com/issues/index.htm - Variety of articles on running and training at all levels and distances, book and running product reviews

Good luck in training and please feel free to ask more questions
