Yes, those are additional examples of why perceived effort or exertion (PE) can be an inaccurate measure of whether one is running or jogging, as are pace and SPM.

I tend to THINK of walking, jogging and running in terms of gaits and biomechanics because I’ve done some work simulating human locomotion in a past life. But now that I’m mostly interested in fitness and endurance activities, I tend to DO whatever puts me in my target HR range or allows me to perform sufficiently (per my goals) with the least rate of PE.
