Dave W.,
Your post was informative. Glad to know that someone--even a fox--is looking out for us chickens.
>>Dr. Z coincided with Voodoo's active period. After Voodoo left, Dr. Z has become the dominant personality here. Now even he is less active, but this is probably due to injury, since I don't think Scott has ever experienced hostile postings here.<<
I don't know about being a dominant personality, but you are right, I am less active, primarily because, as you guessed, due to injury. My enthusiasm for running has been tempered, and I've become more involved in swimming and cycling, especially cycling.
But I'm healing. I have run almost every day for two weeks now, even though my longest runs are only 5 miles.
Also, I sense (although I might be wrong on this) an increase in activity on this board. So I don't always feel a need to respond; other say what I would probably have said.
I might add that after 35 years of marriage to a head-strong woman whose personality is opposite of mine, and after having 7 head-strong kids, most of whom are as contancerous as their mother, I'm not easily bothered by contention.
I don't like to see contention on this BB. I especially don't like ad hominum attacks. But I'm a forgiving soul. I don't like to see anyone offended, but mostly, I don't like to see anyone take offense. As a professor at Brigham Young University, I like the quote from Brigham Young himself: "Anyone who takes offense when no offense is intended is a fool. Anyone who takes offense when offense is intended is also a fool."
