Three readers here can mark postings for deletion. The bad postings do get marked quickly. What hasn't been happening for about a year is that the owner, John Elliott, doesn't delete the obnoxious postings. I recently e-mailed to John to ask him what is going on. If he replies, I'll mention your passport idea to him.
Understandably, John is mostly interested in converting MarathonGuide into an income source. That is why he has 3 readers to mark positings, so in theory he can remove postings without wasting time reading them. That system worked for awhile, but isn't now.
I met John at his DC Marathon 2002 expo booth. He was also involved in the 2003 DC Marathon, but there was no expo. He designs web sites (DC Marathon, Vespa motorcycles, MarathonGuide, at least).
