Jay,

When you say you've been running your distance runs at 6 min pace how far have you been going? Either you're pushing way too hard on your distance runs or you're a natural! Your distance runs should feel pretty comfortable, run at a pace you could easily hold a conversation without gasping for air. If you can do this at 6 min pace as a beginner, you could have a pretty good future ahead of you!

Whether or not to move to the 10K schedule when you're done with the 5K one is dependent on your goals. If your trying to gradually work up to a half or full marathon, that's one way to do it. If you're concentrating mostly on racing 5Ks, take a couple weeks off when you're done with the current schedule and then start it over again. Tweak/change what didn't work for you, increase the weekly mileages a tad, and adjust your paces according to your new fitness level.
