As Mike pointed out, gels probably won't help since it takes a while for them to take effect. You may want to look at your diet and be sure to eat well prior to your run (but not so close it upsets your stomach). If you're running in the morning, be sure to eat at least a little something prior to your run and have a good meal the night before. Also look at your water intake. If you're not drinking enough during the day this can have the same effects.
My final suggestion is a bit extreme, but if all else fails you may want to talk about this with your doctor. Possible medical causes can be low blood sugar or hypothroidism. For years I felt tired constantly and my training suffered a lot. When I finally brought it up to my doctor I had a blood test and found I had hypothryoidism. The treatment's changed my running and my life for the better.
