Last September I went to my podiatrist (who is a distance runner) with some aches and pains in my knees and ankles, inquiring about orthotics.
He suggested I give the Superfeet insoles a try, and get a video evaluation of my running mechanics.
I was told I'm a normal runner, wearing the correct shoe and the aches and pains completely disappeared a week after getting the insoles.
Update: Doc contacted me late yesterday afternoon and told me it would not be wise to make a switch this close to Boston.
With my luck I'd ditch the insoles and immediately get a calf micro tear.
