I'd like to qualify for the 2014 or 2015 Boston Marathon and would like some input on how to accomplish this. I finished my most recent marathon in October with a time of 3:27:47. My training consisted of 4 runs/week with one interval/tempo workout per week. I did 4 to 6 20-23 mile long runs, and my maximum weekly mileage was 53 miles. To train for a qualifying marathon, I am planning to run 6 days a week, increase my maximum weekly mileage to 70, and continue with speedwork. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks, everyone.
