I'm sort of leaning towards a marathon in the latter part of May. Are you saying to race either a 5k or 10k no more than twice per month? Why a 35 day period and not just 1 rounded month? I was thinking of concentrating on shorter races until the end of February and then starting a 12 week plan for the marathon, building up mileage past 40 per week to peak at about a little over 60. I'd like to try to average about 55 per week over the last 9 weeks up until the taper. Think there's enough time to fit in the short race period before the marathon training?
