Bob Potts Marathon May 20, 2012 York, Pennsylvania http://www.bobpottsrun.com
Are you ready to make the marathon commitment? You might as well begin with the flattest and fastest marathon in the area. Our 26.2 mile run is ranked in the top 30 marathons for percentage of Boston Qualifiers, and Active.com ranked the Bob Potts Marathon as one of the flattest and fastest marathons in the U.S!
The race begins on the campus of York College of Pennsylvania and continues on a gravel path through farms, small towns, and meandering creeks. You will feel the serene beauty of York County and have the opportunity to experience our wonderfully unique water stations! Bands are present along the course as well! There is even the chance that you could see the occasional cow, chicken, or pheasant along the course. You wont get that opportunity at any of the big city marathons!
Most of all, our race is great for families and spectators. There are many places for family and friends to see the runners during the race. Plus, with the exciting track finish, you will have a festive atmosphere to welcome you to the finish line! There is even a 5k race for people who do not want to make the marathon commitment.
The marathon is capped at 500 runners, so register early. This race has sold out the past two years! You can find the link for registration at our website: http://www.bobpottsrun.com
