... I am deeply touched. I did not wish to inspire this with my 'story' but your sincerity cannot be mistaken. This is too much. Many other runners did the same, and better.

You are probably right (about how I will feel in the future) but I had 'romantic' visions about my last marathon. I can at least hang on to the notion that I did as best as I could (my brother just called me to give me hell: you are injured, he said, you never told me you would run this thing, you are crazy!) but right now I don't think I can be 'level' with my experience. Many times we (at this BB) have mentioned the fact that there is slight depression after a marathon, and believe me, I'm scraping it right now.

Tell me NYC, do you not feel that way sometimes after a race?

I'm seeing my osthéopathe tomorrow... wish me luck.
